On the town

Hello, I'm Invisible Eavie! I've been asked (well, admittedly I asked. Um, requested. OK, begged) to write the Pincurls and Pout blog this week. Hope it's OK!

When we heard that Betsy Pout, notorious glitter magnet and lipstick addict, had not yet frequented Charles Fox in Covent Garden, we decided that we needed to take immediate action. So this week, I found myself dancing up to London (notice the film reference- I even said it in the title!) with Pincurls and Pout on a make up mission.
Charles Fox was like a little treasure trove, especially as it was full of friendly staff sporting various burns, welts and cuts (for Halloween, not because they are blood crazed maniacs). After a small incident involving an over enthusiastic copper body mousse (which resulted in Betsy Pout's new copper highlights), and lots of make up induced self harm jokes, we settled on a little bit of sparkle (Jeanie Pincurl said that this purchase was due to the liberal amounts of the aforementioned glitter about Betsy's person) and some matte colours. We then set off to ScreenFace, despite the fact that Betsy resembled an over excited child's Christmas tree due to various testers and glitter related accidents.
However, Betsy and co made a short trip into Lush en route, where they were pounced on by an over zealous west end wendy with far too much knowledge and love for things that explode in baths.
Once they had detached themselves from this sticky situation, they emerged smelling like a perfume counter in a department store, and feeling more than a little bit terrified.
Anyway, ScreenFace was also full of zombies and witches, but by this point we were so "traumatized" (to use Betsy Pout's favorite phrase), that makeup wasn't registering on our radar at all. Whilst not entirely Gene Kelly, it was still a successful trip and lots of fun was had by all.

Thanks for reading!
